Conversation: Two very important date- Read carefully!

Staff,

This Wednesday we will have a speaker coming to talk to the students about
the harmful effects of tobacco and alcohol on the brain. 6th grade students
will be bussed over at 8:45 and the program will run from 9:00 to approx
9:45.  7th Grade students should report to the auditorium at 8:50, use the
entrance from the stage and sit on the east side of the auditorium.  8th
grade also report at 8:50 should use the rear entrance and sit on the west
side of the auditorium. 6th grade can fill in on both sides behind the 7th
and 8th grade students.  There will be no changes to the schedule.


Second item:

On November 23rd we will have a morning sock hop at the skating rink.  This
was scheduled to be at night but the rink was booked.  This may also help
alleviate some of the scheduling problems for the three buildings relative
to early dismissal. If this goes ok we may do it again before Christmas
break. Here is the schedule:


8:40    7th grade loads on busses from BHS

8:45    6th grade walks to the rink

9:00    8th grade loads on busses from BHS


10:25   7th grade loads on busses to return to BHS

10:30   6th grade walks back to BE (directly to lunch)

10:45   8th grade loads busses to return to BHS (directly to lunch)

We will need to be very efficient with the movement to and from the rink so
please discuss at your team meetings how to organize the transportation (for
example:  Mrs. Vent's class will be on the first bus, ...).  At the rink, it
will just be important for us to spread and trouble shoot any problems.

At BHS:
After lunch, we will go to period 4, then to period 5 until 12:55 pm at
which time students will report to homerooms.  Dismissal will be at
approximately 1:05-1:10.
At BE:
After lunch, students will report to 4th period, then to 5th (or 7th if you
would rather).  Dismissal will be at approx 2:50

OK...so there you have it!   Please let me know if I left something out that
needs addressed.
